LEED and Energy Modeling
Opturas will find cost-effective measures to meet LEED project goals. Energy and atmosphere are the largest credits. Almost 40% of LEED points are directly associated with LEED energy modeling. Achieve your LEED goal with energy savings measures that pay for themselves.

Energy Audits
An energy audit is the first step in identifying energy savings potential. We can provide a range of energy audits tailored to your particular needs. A thorough study will help determine ways to reduce energy consumption and energy costs. The energy audit, combined with a client's energy goals and long-term strategies, will guide us in developing an effective energy plan.

Energy Benchmarking
Involves analyzing the building’s historical energy use, benchmarking the building and performing a utility rate analysis. Benchmarking is usually completed using EPA’s Energy Star Portfolio Manager, which allows our engineers to determine what level of effort should be employed for your facility.

ASHRAE Level 1 - Walk Through Analysis
Includes a preliminary audit and site visit by an engineer who focuses on low cost energy conservation measures and potential capital improvements with quick paybacks.

ASHRAE Level 2 - Energy Survey and Analysis
Identifies all appropriate energy conservation measures for a building and a financial analysis based on implementation costs, operating costs and attainable savings.

ASHRAE Level 3 - Detailed Investment Grade Audit
Involves more detailed field data gathering and engineering analysis with detailed project cost and savings information sufficient for capital investment decisions.

Energy Modeling
opturas_2020_c001011.jpg
eQUEST with the DOE 2 engine is the most popular energy modeling program that benefits every stage of building development. Geometry is imported from architectural models such as Revit or AutoCAD or built from the projects plans. Hourly calculations allow building envelope and systems optimization for your site.
